"I like doing Mind Maps, they're fun. I don't have to worry about lots of words I can't spell and they help the information 'go in', so I remember things better."

Accelerated Learning
Although Accelerated Learning techniques have been around for quite a while now - I trained as an Accelerated Learning Instructor in 1995 and was by no means the first to do so - they have become the buzz words in education these days.
Why use it?
As more and more is being discovered about the way our brains learn and process information it makes sense to use this information to present new information in the way brains like it best.
What is it?
I like to think that Accelerated Learning just means 'work smarter not harder'! Accelerated learning techniques incorporate ways of recording, presenting, learning and recalling information in the ways that our brains like best.
How?
One way to learn about Accelerated Learning is to find more about Mind Mapping and Visual Spelling.
